Applications

MEMBRANE DC is a decoupling mat made from a specially designed HDPE studded foil with a rough surface texture and design to achieve optimal adhesion with tile adhesive. The underside is equipped with a supporting woven PP fleece. MEMBRANE DC is intended to be applied underneath tile installations.

MEMBRANE DC serves as a decoupling layer, vapor pressure leveling layer, and load distribution layer. The use of MEMBRANE DC allows for combining various finishing layers or substrates. It also absorbs stresses resulting from usage loads.

Applicable for both renovation and new construction projects. For indoor use only, such as:

• Decoupling function in case of different types of substrates (renovation)
• Vapor pressure reduction when overlaying “young” substrates and/or underfloor heating
• Stress reduction when bonding large-format tiles

It is recommended to bond MEMBRANE DC using FLEXcement^® RAPID. Tiles can be installed directly onto MEMBRANE DC in decoupling applications.
